My name is Dav Flamerock and I am an 18-year-old student at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. I am mostly interested in science, specifically biology and zoology, and writing, of which I do a lot. I am also a huge fan of social games and puzzle solving--which is why I am a huge ARG player.
I do sing a lot as well--for the 7 years of Jr High through High School I have been in the chorus of the California Revels. I am also a member of the Deer Creek Morris Men--a dancing team which does Morris Dancing, best defined as traditional English performance dance.
Of my hobbies (besides writing), I enjoy many many forms of media: reading books, watching movies, listening to radio plays, watching plays or musicals, playing video games, and participating in ARGs. I certainly do get my fair share of stories, which aids my own. My favorite books include all of Lovecraft's work, plus most of Garth Nix's work (I haven't read it all yet) and Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy. You can also find me reading books such as those based on Halo or Magic: the Gathering(hey, they're fun to read.)
I obviously play Magic and I also love to Roleplay. When it comes to movies/TV shows/games ect. my interests can be put into two catagories: science fiction and fantasy (with a splattering of drama, which I enjoy but do not usually watch). Favorite games? Marathon, the Call of Cthulhu, Jedi Knight, and Halo. Favorite movies? Hard to say, but put Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Watchmen, and Batman (the new ones) in there.
But all that is in the free time when I'm not writing or roleplaying... but that's not all! I also love to play Warhammer 40K, the tabletop game, and on rare occasion paintballing or laser tag. No profile is complete without a picture, so...
I am a very scientific person who will hopefully be a researcher when I grow up.
